What is the purpose of this site?

I decided to set this site up mainly for my own enjoyment and in response to the falling standards and almost constant spamming in the misc.invest.futures and misc.invest.technical newsgroups. The Interent is a very powerful tool and sharing ideas via newsgroups is part and parcel of that idea. However, having seen both groups fall slowly to their knees and good sources for financial information drying up, this site is a small attempt to redress the balance.

Ideally, this site should offer you a chance to read some valuable and worthwile material on your chosen subject and above all, enjoy your time spent here and enjoy making the most of all I hope to present here.

Where can I subscribe?

You can get your free subscription and acompanying free probability calculator on the subscriptions page! In case you are wondering, I am not looking to sell any information - you only need to send me an email and I will then inform you of your successfull subscription and send the free gift as soon as I can.

When do new issues come out?

I am initially planning for a monthly issue, which will be posted to this site on the first calendar day of each month, the first. Should demand be such that a fortnightly issue is required, then I will certainly investigate that possibility. The only other thing of note here is that I am writing this in the UK (please excuse any misleading terms that I might have habit to use!) and as such, I will be operating from either GMT or BST.

Why doesn't it cost anything?

The reason why this is free is due to several reasons. One, I think such a move would be in direct contrast to that of the purpose of this site. Secondly, if I chose to charge, I would be looking at competing for your hard earned money, I would have far fewer subscribers and I would be competing with the likes of professional magazines such as Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities, Futures, Trader's World and the reams and reams of 'advisory services'. Besides, I don't have either the space or technology to establish a pay site!

Who is running this site?

I am. My name is Bruce Lewin and I am behind this magazine. If I can bear the blushes, then I might consider putting a more comrehensive summary of myself up somewhere, but at the moment I'll keep things brief. I am studying Management at the University of St. Andrews, and I am hoping to enter the City (Wall Street eqivalent), after graduation, ideally as a trader. If you have any more questions, then please email me, alterntively, check my homepage.

What is the incentive for a free site?

The incentive for you is a free site with hopefully, lots of good and valuable information. The incentives for me on the other hand at first glance seem a little unfair. However, this is something that I enjoy, if successful, it could well grow and become a much bigger concern than it is now, finally, I am learning about HTML and programming on the Internet (a little trying at times!) and this is something which might well be useful in some capacity, other than just this!

What can I do to help?

Should you want to do a little more than just subscribe and offer me some critisism or praise then I am more than grateful to hear from people who would like to contribute in any shape or form. If you want to contribute copy, then I'll most likely say yes, don't hesitate, just get in touch. On the programming front, I would love this to become a frames capable site and I have a few ideas on content/presentation, anything considered!
